PAX + Armageddon, nothing huge to report...
The Artists
Aidan
I was in Melbourne this week along with the other artists, attending GCAP and then later showcasing our game at PAX with the programmers. This week was mostly spent learning new tricks and networking with industry professionals night after night. PAX was also another opportunity for playtest reports.
Connor
During this week, I was away attending talks at Games Connect Asia and Pacific and showcasing our game PAX Australia. As I and most of the team were away without time or machinery, not a lot of progress was made on the art side.
David
This week I was in Melbourne attending MIGW.
The Programmers
Hadley
PAX week, Jose and myself were the only two who remained behind leading up to the event, this allowed us to attempt to fix all the issues discovered at Armageddon. This was a tall order to fill, as we quickly learnt there was a mountain of bugs, and issues present in the game, ranging from Safa getting stuck in a particular pushing state after a particular sequence of events, to missing colliders on some walls allowing for people to completely run out of the game world. We then had to polish our hotfixes, and get the game packaged up for PAX halfway through the week, it was a short, but exhausting week of fixes and polish, but a necessary one.

PAX + Armageddon! The dream! We had to do a lot of bug fixing during Armageddon to account for PAX. I want to give a shout out ot the glitch that would destroy the camera and blur the universe dividing by 0 whenever you paused the game too much. I am really glad I fixed that one. We got a lot of concerns about readability and animations. Although we didn’t get to tackle all of them this week, we improved the climbing, pushing, and changed some textures from white to dark grey to prevent the props from blending with the environment too much.
Izzy
This week was dedicated for PAX and I have left Hadley and Jose for bug fixes, as I am computer-less and finishing up my other work in my full time job before I leave. Us 3 travelled together and had the chance to be in PAX and also network with industry professionals.
